Builder School Device Settings

The Builder has a convenience feature for schools to automatically request access to your school's workspace when signing in or signing up in the Builder. This is an easy way for you to request access and quickly assign Curriculum Quests to your students.

To get started

  1. Select "Tools" in the top menu, then select "Preferences" in the sub menu.

2. Click on the "School Devices" tab.

3. Enter your workspace name into the blank.
4. Select the first checkbox that reads. "New sign-ups on this device should automatically request membership with that workspace"

This will have the Builder ask anyone signing up on this computer if they would like to request access to the indicated workspace.

Requiring Workspace Membership

If you would like to take this one step further and require anyone using the Builder on this computer to be a member of your workspace. That way you can make sure that nobody without an account approved by you can upload potentially unsafe media files or experiences from this computer. To activate this you can select the second checkbox. In order for the second checkbox to be available you must:

  1. Be logged in with your workspace administrator account
  2. Have the School Workspace filled out with a green checkmark at the top of the dialog.
