Course Executive Overview:
This 5-day entrepreneurship class introduces grades 3-5 students to foundational business concepts. Each day involves a lecture on a specific topic, a quiz to reinforce learning, an interactive creation activity to apply concepts, and a show-and-tell session with peer feedback. The unit concludes with a pitch competition where students present their developed business ideas. Students enrolled in this course will learn the following concepts:
- Starting your Business can be fun and inspiring
- Using Review tools that use gamification and competition.
- Marketing Basics
- Business Plan Basics
- Students will leave course with their own USB of a business Plan
Teacher:
Jay Schnoor is a father of two St. Francis girls: Maryn and Maeve. He is passionate about learning, business, and teaching. He has successfully started 5 different businesses, has 1 successful exit and currently operates 3 others. The lessons will be geared for this age group. Older students are also welcome up to 8th grade. Jay is a certified volunteer at the school and also the Community Director in the Knights of Columbus.

Section Overview:
This lesson plan introduces fourth-grade students to fundamental entrepreneurship concepts, including what it takes to start and succeed in a business. Students will explore the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, brainstorm business ideas, and engage in hands-on activities that simulate real-world business scenarios.
