Introduction to Photography

This lesson introduces grade 8 students to the history of photography, fundamental concepts, and essential equipment. The class aims to provide students with a foundational understanding of photography's development over time and basic terminology and tools used in the field.

This lesson will introduce students to fundamental compositional techniques in photography, including the rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, and the use of symmetry. Students will learn how these techniques can enhance the visual appeal of their photographs and will have the opportunity to practice and discuss these skills in a hands-on activity.

In this lesson, students will put into practice the photography concepts they have learned in the previous lessons on Photography Basics and Elements of Composition. They will take photographs and later discuss and review these photographs in class.
